Goals and Progress

So far in 2011's report on Cambodia, it is on target to achieve goals to universal primary education, reduce child mortality and combatting HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other disease. However, there is great need for more attention to be given to promoting gender equality and empower women (particularly to reduce gender based violence and increase womens' representation in top decision-making positions) and improve environmental sustainability (protecting historic landmarks). Continued progress is required to ensure that no woman dies giving life in Cambodia, and to continue clearing land of mines and ERW.
